Welcome to the Grosse Pointe Sail Club Sundown Series, the longest-running weekly sailboat racing series on Lake St. Clair. The 2026 season proudly marks the 66th consecutive year of Tuesday evening racing, continuing a tradition that runs from May through September. For generations, the Sundown Series has brought together sailors from across Southeast Michigan and Southwestern Ontario for competitive and enjoyable racing on the water. The series welcomes a wide range of boats and crews, with racing available in PHRF, Cruising, JAM, and One Design classes. Whether returning for another season or joining for the first time, competitors can expect great racing, strong fleets, and one of the region’s most enduring sailing traditions.
