LAKE HURON CRUISE RACE

JULY 13 TO JULY 17, 2024

The Grosse Pointe Sail Club invites you to join us for a five-day fun social boating event. It’s called the Lake Huron Cruise Race, which lets you know where the event will take place.

It starts in Lake Huron near Port Huron on July 13 and ends in Presque Isle Harbor on July 17 with stops each day in Port Sanilac, Port Austin, and Harrisville on the way there. On the 17th, in Presque Isle Harbor, we will hold an awards luncheon, which is included in the registration fee ($140). As the event name also implies, you can cruise in your powerboat or sailboat and just enjoy the company as you progress up the lake together. Many participants usually plan to cruise the North Channel after the event ends.

For the sailing participants, there will be a four-day handicapped competition, with very special scoring, that allows the use of a motor if it looks like the wind will not get you to the next stop in time for the party (there will be a gathering at each port of call).
