LADY MEGGAN CHALLENGE RACE

“Meggan was a ball of energy, joy and life. I can vividly picture her walking around the dock (our boats are right next to each other) with a drink for me after the ladies race a few weeks ago, genuinely thrilled I was there to race against. She beat me of course (I got second and wouldn’t want to lose to anyone else) because she was a f**king good sailor. There aren’t many women in the sailing community – I looked up to her so much and admired her confidence, especially running the bow on a big, competitive boat with a bunch of dudes. She handled her own in a way I aspire to. She was an absolute badass, but also the warmest, most loving friend … she was simply the best.”

The 2024 Lady Meggan Challenge will take place on Sunday, August 25th.
The annual family picnic will follow the race, at 1:30 pm.
The GPSC will provide:
Pulled Pork, Coleslaw, Mac & Cheese, Beer, Wine, Water, and Pop
- Location: front of Pier Three at Windmill Pointe Park
- People attending are asked to bring a dish to pass
